Dr. Marc B. Blatt is a practicing Hospitalist in Jacksonville specializing in Internal Medicine. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Blatt currently practices at Jacksonville Hospitalists, PA and he’s affiliated with Memorial Hospital and Baptist Medical Center Beaches. Dr. Blatt is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Janice Miciano is our resident Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the University of North Florida. She continued her education and graduated in 2018 from Saint Joseph’s College with her Master’s degree in Nursing specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Janice has been a nurse for nearly 14 years and is nationally board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She began her nursing career at UF Health Jacksonville working on a Level I Post-Trauma Unit. She then continued her career working at the Nation’s #1 Rated Hospital in Orthopedics, Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. She cared for adults suffering from a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and orthopedic surgeries as well as children with spine/bone disorders, cerebral palsy and pediatric trauma. It was there when she developed a strong interest in musculoskeletal conditions.
Janice is passionate about helping her patients and continues to believe the patient should always be at the center of care. She is definitely proud to be part of our Anodyne team.
Janice is a native of Jacksonville and enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 year-old daughter. She loves traveling, experiencing different cultures and cuisines. She has visited almost 30 different countries and hopes to travel more on her free time.

Shannon graduated from The Sage Colleges with her Bachelors in Therapeutic Studies in 2008 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. She started her career in acute care at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She was a part of the cardiac and organ transplant rehab team. While at Hopkins she acquired tools to treat patients with various cardiopulmonary, neurological, and orthopedic impairments. She transitioned to travel physical therapy working in various states and settings including outpatient orthopedics, home health, and skilled nursing, allowing her to advance her skills in manual therapy, vestibular rehab, and sports therapy.
Shannon is board certified through the Florida Board of Physical Therapy. She has participated in many continuing education opportunities over her 11 years of practice including kinesio taping, vestibular therapy, and balance training for the geriatric population. She is focused on a whole body approach to provide the best care to her patients.
Shannon is originally from Utica, NY and moved down to Jacksonville in 2020. When she is not providing care to patients, she enjoys hiking, running, and traveling.

Dr. Mark A. Pierce is one of only 14 Board-Certified Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractors in the state of Florida and has been in practice for 27 years, serving Jacksonville and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Pierce graduated from Life University in 1989, where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He is a fourth generation chiropractor and began his career under the direction of his father, Dr. Burton A. Pierce Jr. at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. During this time, Dr. Pierce became a Board-Certified Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor and a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
Dr. Pierce has partnered with many of the local sports communities and served as the team chiropractor for several professional teams including the Jacksonville Bullets, Jacksonville Lizard Kings, Jacksonville Barracudas, Jacksonville Suns and Jacksonville Cyclones. Currently, Dr. Pierce is the official team chiropractor for the Jacksonville Armada.
In early 2000, Dr. Pierce opened his first practice, Mark Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. He expanded the clinic in 2013 to Anodyne of Jacksonville, ensuring his patients would receive the best chiropractic care, as well as medical and rehabilitation care. By combining the components of medicine he felt best complemented chiropractic, Anodyne of Jacksonville proudly offers a holistic approach to healthcare.

Dr. Kyle S. Jackson graduated from the University of Florida (UF) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He also played football for the university from 2004-2008 and was a member of the 2006 National Championship team. During his football career, Dr. Jackson sustained a career-ending back injury requiring surgery. He was told he would never play football again. He opted out of surgery and began chiropractic treatment with Dr. Mark Pierce at Mark Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. Not only did he heal from his injury, Dr. Jackson went on to play the game he loved and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after graduating from UF.
Following his football career, Dr. Jackson continued to be amazed by the miraculous healing he’d experienced from his chiropractic care. As a result, he enrolled in the Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2009 and graduated in 2012, receiving his Doctorate of Chiropractic. During this time, he also received training in sports therapy, allowing him to attend city sporting events and perform chiropractic treatments and therapies for participating athletes. After graduation, Dr. Jackson began his chiropractic career where he received his first chiropractic adjustment at Mark Pierce Chiropractic Clinic, now known as Anodyne of Jacksonville. Dr. Jackson also leads our educational seminars on regenerative medicine.

Dr. Matthew D. Pierce, who we call Dr. Matt, specializes in Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic care and has been in practicing for 29 years, serving Jacksonville and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Matt graduated from Life University in 1991, where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He is a fourth generation chiropractor and began his career under the direction of his father, Dr. Burton A. Pierce Jr. at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. After his father retired, he joined forces with his brother, Dr. Mark A. Pierce, at Physical Healthcare of Jacksonville.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Evangeline Bentley graduated from University of North Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Biology and Health Administration. She went on to graduate from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. She’s passionate about using her knowledge and experience to help care for patients and assist the providers in giving exceptional patient care. In her free time, she is with her husband and 3 boys, and enjoys traveling, trying new things, and volunteering.
