Chronic & Cognitive Fatigue
If you feel irritable and unmotivated and are experiencing frequent mental blocks, appetite fluctuations, or insomnia, you may be suffering from cognitive fatigue. This mental exhaustion, or cognitive fatigue, can happen when your mind is overloaded and overdriven. The result is unrelenting exhaustion, which can impact your health in the near- and long-term. You may find that the symptoms of cognitive fatigue overlap with those of chronic fatigue, which is unexplained extreme fatigue that lasts for more than six months. With chronic fatigue, you may suffer from memory, focus, and concentration issues, dizziness that worsens when you change position, and sleep that doesn’t replenish you. While any one can experience chronic fatigue, it is most prevalent in women and people between the ages of 40 years and 60 years old.
